Voice dysphonia and Trauma
I attended Northwick Hospital vocal clinic as an observer of physical procedures in relation to voice trauma in connection with my research and interest in the psychological and emotional effects of voice loss. This led to my publication in Therapy Today entitled "Voice trauma and Voicelessness"
As a professional Opera Singer I have always been interested in the arts. I am now a health provider for BAPAM (British association for Performing Arts Medicine)
At my private psychotherapy and counselling practice in South West London, I have been successful in supporting many singers and other musicians coping with performance related stress and
anxiety together with self esteem issues.
Also, using well researched breathing techniques, together with personal experience of performing live, I have encouraged many clients to benefit from my knowledge and interest in the power of singing and music to alleviate stress and anxiety with happy endorphins. ( This for singles and couples counselling)
Infant Loss
I am accredited by The Foundation for Infant Loss following my studies and treatment, successfully supporting clients including through their stages of IVF and grief.
This, beginning with my knowledge in Mindfulness and Compassionate Care counselling and psychotherapy.
